Consultation & Supervision and Trainings
Individual Clinical Supervision
We offer individual supervision for provisionally-licensed therapists and counselors-in-training. One-on-one supervision offers a valuable chance to explore which methods and theoretical approaches resonate with you. Many therapists aspire to integrate their personal identity with their professional practice, and this process can help you achieve that alignment. Together, you will establish goals, develop your skills, and receive guidance from someone who has personally experienced your journey.
Play Therapy Supervision
Supervision for becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) provides a structured and supportive environment for professionals to develop their skills in play therapy. Through individualized guidance, case consultation, and experiential learning, supervision helps integrate play therapy theories, techniques, and ethical practices. Dr. Sullivan is a nationally recognized Play Therapy Supervisor (RPT-S) and provides in-person and online supervision for the registered play therapy certification through the Association for Play Therapy. She offers mentorship, feedback, and professional insight, ensuring that supervisees meet the required competencies and clinical hours needed for RPT credentialing. This process fosters growth, confidence, and expertise in using play therapy to support children and families effectively.
Play Therapy Consultation
Play therapy consultation groups are run by Dr. Tami Sullivan, an Approved Supervisor through the Association for Play Therapy. These groups are for graduate students and clinicians. Participants discuss the profound impact of play therapy on clients across various ages and presenting issues. The sessions are a blend of experiential learning, case discussions, and collaborative exploration of diverse play therapy modalities. Attention is given to working in collaboration with parents and other systems, as well as the larger issues addressing children and the play therapy profession at any given time. Each session is divided between the participants to ensure each person gets time, and occasionally, by group consent, an in-depth case presentation or experiential processing.
