What types of therapy do you offer?
UCS may be an out-of-network behavioral health provider if we don’t participate in your insurance plan. UCS provides a superbill. Reach out to your insurance company to find out if you can submit a superbill for reimbursement.
A superbill is an itemized document provided by UCS that includes the details of the services you’ve received, which can be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. It typically includes information such as the therapist’s credentials, session dates, service codes, and the total cost of the therapy session. Although a superbill is not a direct claim to insurance, it serves as a receipt that may allow you to get reimbursed for out-of-network services, depending on your insurance plan.
What are some questions to ask my insurance provider?
What out-of-network mental health services will my plan cover? What is my deductible? How much must I pay out of pocket before receiving reimbursement? How many sessions per year are allowed under my out-of-network coverage? Is telehealth covered differently than in-person sessions?
Can I use my FSA or HSA to pay for services?
Yes, FSA (Flexible Spending Account) and HSA (Health Savings Account) accounts are designed to cover medical expenses, including mental health services, as long as they are deemed eligible by the IRS. Be sure to check with your HSA or FSA provider to confirm the specifics of your plan and ensure the therapy services are eligible for reimbursement.
Do you accept Child Health Plus or Medicaid?
UCS does not participate in any government payor programs, including Medicare and Medicaid. We are however able to sign some single case agreements, for individuals covered under self-directed care, for out-of-pocket payers seeking reimbursement.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, checks and credit cards.
