My first path led me to a career in elementary education.  I earned a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Master’s in Technology in Education.  I have taught in pre-k through middle school classrooms in Long Island and Central New York.  After 10 years in education, I chose to integrate my teaching knowledge and skill set with my empathetic, helping, and intuitive personality and pursue a career in Mental Health Counseling.  I earned a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Trauma Studies.

As a counselor, I have worked with individuals of all ages and in many different settings, including but not limited to College Counseling Centers, large and small private practices, and school-based mental health programs. Through each of these experiences, I appreciate the unique needs of each developmental stage and individual.

I am a currently licensed as a Mental Health Counseling in New York State.  and am am board certified as a National Board of Certified Counselors Certification.

I utilize a variety of counseling interventions and techniques including Strength-based solution focused model, trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered approach, and child-centered play therapy.

I am happy to service the Rochester child, adolescent and adult community and work with you to meet your mental health goal.
